Long Kiss Goodnight

So I know that this movie has been for a very long time, but I just bought the DVD, and I had forgotten how much I loved it. Long Kiss Goodnight starring Geena Davis, Samuel L. Jackson, Craig Bierko, and Several others that are at least recognizable, is one of my all time favorite movies. Though Geena Davis usually does the touchy feel good movies, this movie is far from, but it does have it moments. It is the perfect date movie.

Let’s start from the beginning; Geena Davis plays a woman named Samantha Caine, or at least that who she thinks she is. She woke up 8 years ago not knowing who she was are where she had been. So she settled down, she meet someone had a kid, did I mention that when she woke up she was 2 months pregnant. She doesn’t remember anything at all until she gets into a car accident, and then things start to slowly come back. She learns that she was an assassin, and a damn good one. Samuel L. Jackson plays Mitch. A P.I. who is in it for the money for a while, but then you find out that he has a son as well. His son’s mother doesn’t trust him, he spent a few years in prison, and he has never done anything right in his entire life. But then he meets Samantha (A.K.A. Charly, which is her name when she gets her memory back), there is no love triangle between the two of them, there is only friendship. And when the bad guys try to kidnap Samantha/Charly’s daughter, the bullets will fly.

There is a bit of blood, and several people die. This movie is not meant for children. But if you and your guy want a movie that you will both like, it is perfect. It has comedy, drama, action, and lots of stuff gets blown up. It is a feel-good-slit-someone’s-throat movie.
